Abstract

This qualitative study was conducted using a narrative inquiry approach to find out the stories of dancesport couples. Four dancesport couples were purposively identified as informants of the study during the academic year 2015-2016. The data were extensively gathered with the use of the one-on-one interview method. A duly validated interview guide constructed by the researcher was used during the conduct of the interview. Data were then collated, analyzed, and interpreted to reach the findings from where the conclusions and recommendations were drawn. The result of the study revealed the informants' concept, experiences, and insights about dancesport. In general, the experiences of the couples have offered them the experience of imparting a big contribution in every performance they have. Exposure to training developed chemistry among the couples which became vital in nurturing harmonious performance. Moreover, the meaningful experiences they had acquired brought about the concept that dancesport is technical and passionate. Financial problems and giving up their social life were the impediments encountered by the informants, but because of their strong determination, all of their struggles led to fulfillment....
